Artists

A graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, David Marc Tagle has traveled throughout the U.S., to China, London, the Philippines, Taiwan, Italy, and Canada giving chamber music and solo performances. He has participated in numerous festivals and seminars including the Amadeus, the Muir, and the Audubon string quartet seminars and the Aspen Festival, California Summer Music Festival, the Amati Festival, and Le Domaine Forget Festival. His awards include first prize in the Kohl Mansion Chamber Music Competition in 1996 and second prize in San Francisco Conservatory of Music String Concerto Competition in 1995. An active performer, he has performed at the Krannert Center at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, the Beijing Conservatory, and recorded for Hong Kong Radio 4 with the Pantoum Trio.

As a member of the Children’s Orchestra Society at age seventeen, he was featured in Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations on its Asia Tour. As an alumnus he has been teaching at COS since 2001. A New York native, Mr. Tagle was born to Filipino parents and currently resides in Manhattan.
