Mission-Driven Artists Create Exciting, Accessible Performances

Music for Autism is delighted to announce that we have named Fair Trade Trio as our 2020 Spotlight Artists. This exceptional group of young musicians has mesmerized our audiences since their first performance with us in 2017. We have had the pleasure of having them perform several interactive concerts since then, each one unique and so joyful for the families that participated.

“Each member of Fair Trade Trio displays a tremendous amount of creativity, generosity, and talent to capture a wide range of audiences. We are thrilled to have them continue to be involved with us in this formal role”, said Music for Autism US Founder, Dr. Robert Accordino.

Comprising of violinist and Artistic Director Ashley Windle, violist Hannah Levinson, and cellist Madeline Fayette, the trio specializes in creating accessible performances for all audiences. As demonstrated by Linda Blacken, Music for Autism New York Concert Coordinator, who stated upon learning of the award, “Fair Trade Trio always comes up with thoughtful and creative ideas for engaging and interacting with our audiences.“ Their mission is to champion the works of living female composers alongside the standard chamber music canon.

“This is such an honor; we’re touched and humbled,” remarked Ashley Windle.” As you know, we truly enjoy our performances with Music for Autism and are thrilled to find that the feeling is mutual!

“Fair Trade Trio is a group of stellar musicians who not only play beautifully but also have this fantastic ability to program their concerts perfectly. They are truly engaging and energizing performers,” said Ryan Gardner, Artist Coordinator for Music for Autism.

We are so pleased to be able to bring such dedicated and talented artists together with our families for free, interactive concerts that can be enjoyed by all. With our pivot to virtual concerts during the COVID-19 crisis, even more audiences across the United States can enjoy the collaboration between Music for Autism and Fair Trade Trio on February 21st, 2021 at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern

Music for Autism began the Spotlight Artist program in 2009 to recognize extraordinarily talented and gifted artists who have made a significant commitment to supporting the work of M4A and aided in the charity’s expansion across the US.
