Music for Autism Finishes 2013 Season with Collaborative Broadway Series in Partnership with the McCarton School

By Pat Blute. October 3, 2013.

Music for Autism is delighted to continue its successful partnership with The McCarton School by wrapping up the 2013 season with a series of Broadway-inspired and star-powered performances. The three concerts will feature stars from Broadway’s Matilda, the recent How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Pippin.

The first concert in the series was performed last weekend to a mesmerized and enthusiastic audience. Our 2013 Spotlight Artist, John Arthur Greene (Matilda), brought a spirited performance that kicked off this series on a positive note. JAG was also joined by friends,  Thayne Jasperson and Marisa Kennedy, from the Broadway hit. This concert was generously underwritten by Christen L. Kidd, MD.

Cecelia McCarton, MD, Executive Director of The McCarton Center for Developmental Pediatrics and The McCarton School states: “We are excited by our continued partnership with Music for Autism and impressed by continued exceptional quality of the performers at these interactive programs. We look forward to many more concerts in partnership with Music for Autism.”

The series will continue over the next couple months with two more outstanding performances. The dynamic Rose Hemingway (How to Succeed) and Geoffrey Hemingway (Mamma Mia! Tour) will premiere at a concert generously underwritten by the family and friends of Richard and Angela Pitt. Sonny Paladino and friends from Pippin will wrap up our 2013 season with a concert underwritten by the Benkov and Levin Families.
